The Mission
- To establish a network of caring;
- To connect all members and long term friends with “a person who cares” and to maintain a caring contact so that support is offered in time of need;
- To facilitate good communication among Society members and friends.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and develop caring contacts by each Caring Committee member to at least five or more individuals or families with regular contacts such as telephone calls, informal contacts at Sunday services and other events sponsored by the Society, and visits as needed.
- Provide or coordinate support of various kinds, including practical help when needed, such as the preparation and delivery of meals, hospital visits, and transportation.
- Communicate with members and friends at times of emergency through the use of a telephone tree.
- Communicate with the Minister and Caring Committee chair as needed.
