Dear Friends,

As we celebrate another successful year of enriching and sustaining community together, I am writing to remind us of the importance of outreach. Within this beloved faith community we find spiritual renewal, social refreshment, and intellectual stimulation. Here we also have opportunities to reach beyond our community and work to help build a heaven on earth for all.

The UUSA is a caring community: We take opportunities to help each other and to reach out to help those who appeal to us in need.  One of the most important ways we can do that is by making contributions to the minister’s discretionary fund.  This fund allows our minister to help both congregation members and people from the greater community by providing discreet financial support. Even in the midst of transition, our interim ministers have continued to extend the generosity of this congregation and reached out to help those in need.

The Minister’s Discretionary Fund is currently depleted. Please contribute today, if you can. We will be taking a collection for the Minister’s Discretionary Fund Sunday, June 16. You can offer funds then or send a check into the office—UUSA, P.O. Box 502, Amherst, MA 01004-0502. Please write “Minister’s Discretionary Fund” in the memo line.

Thank you for considering making this gift.

Yours in faith,

Karen Fisk
