Sunday, May 4: The Forgiving Heart
The Rev. Alison Wohler
A service about things we deal with every day in our lives:
mistakes, maliciousness, letting go, forgiving others, forgiving
ourselves. What does it mean to make amends? To reconcile?
Sunday, May 11: Iran, Iraq and the State of U.S. Foreign
Policy
Scott Ritter with Kenton Tharp, Service Coordinator
Scott is a former Marine Corps intelligence officer who was a
chief weapons inspector in Iraq between 1991-1998. He publicly
opposed the latest U.S. invasion of Iraq and argued Iraq possessed
no significant weapons of mass destruction. He predicted we
would become mired in the Iraq War. His insights on Iraq and Iran
and U.S. foreign policy are essential, and illuminating. Prepare to
be enlightened.
Sunday, May 18: Courage in the Face of the
Unknown
The Rev. Alison Wohler
What are the important things to remember when faced with
making difficult choices? Change can be scary.
Sunday, May 25: Choir Sunday
The Choir celebrates PEACE with a selection of songs on this
timeless theme, supplemented by readings. Works by J. S. Bach,
Neil Young, Mary Lynn Lightfoot, Sam Kertiles, and others will be
sung. The Kids Choir will lead everyone in two singalongs:
"Somos el Barco" (We are the Boat) and "Deep
Blue Sea."
