The financial goal of this year’s canvass committee was $147,400, an increase, part of an overall increase of 7.5% for the Unitarian Universalist Society of Amherst’s (UUSA) FY 17 budget. A key driver of this significant increase was the need to present a compensation package capable of attracting a high quality interim minister, as well as several other requested funding increases.
At the time of this report (6/2/16), we are pleased to report that the generous friends and members of the UUSA have pledged a total $149,906, exceeding our goal by over $2,000. We believe that this represents all the anticipated pledges, meaning that we have practically completed the campaign for FY ’17.
It is worth noting that this year’s increased performance comes on top of last year’s outstanding pledge performance. The Friends and Members of the UUSA are admirably meeting the challenges of growing into our new building and making the sometimes difficult transitions we face.
This year, we received pledges from 93 pledging units, which included 15 new pledging units. Of the repeating pledges, 31 made an increase over last year’s pledge, while 40 level-funded.
We again congratulate the friends and members for this outstanding display of support.
