Craig’s Doors – A Home Association, Inc. in partnership with the Unitarian Universalist Society of Amherst (UUSA), now serves a Wednesday breakfast from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

The breakfast is open to the public free of charge and everyone is welcome to attend.

Kevin J. Noonan, Craig’s Doors Past Executive Director, said, “We are excited to be able to team up with the UU Society of Amherst to make this important community meal a reality. Their willingness to host this breakfast on Wednesdays will be an important addition for people in our community who have limited resources.”

Breakfast will be served in the Willie Eaton Social Hall at the Unitarian Meetinghouse, 121 North Pleasant St. at the corner of Kellogg Ave.

“Together with the UUSA we hope this will not just be a permanent Wednesday breakfast but a place where additional services can also be offered,” Noonan said.

When the breakfast program began, The Reverend Alison A. Wohler, minister of the U.U. Society at the time, said, “These Wednesday breakfasts will be exactly the kind of service to the community the congregation was foreseeing when it chose to remain in downtown Amherst and expand the meetinghouse. We are grateful to Kevin Noonan and Craig’s Doors for their vision as well.”

There are many volunteers needed to successfully run this program and you can easily sign up to help for one hour or more.  Contact us and we will send you a weekly email reminder with a link where you can see what positions are available for each week.
