The six-part documentary series from the UUA, Long Strange Trip, continues on March 25 with Part 3, “American Unitarianism.” Come join us at noon downstairs in Classroom A for a viewing and refreshments.

Channing, Priestley, and others based their Unitarian beliefs on their interpretation of the Bible. Transcendentalists Emerson, Fuller, and Parker offered a radical departure from Bible-based Christianity. Do the theological conflicts within 18th- and 19th-century American Unitarianism matter to us today? Why or why not? What, if anything, can we can learn that is relevant for our own time from this history? The video is about one hour long. Afterward, you are welcome to stay, if you can, for a discussion of these questions and more using a study guide by the UUA
