On Saturday, April 29, communities all over the country will march to demonstrate their concern for climate change. The primary march is in Washington DC. If you are interested in attending, there are buses leaving Amherst and Northampton organized by the Sierra Club. The cost is $65. See http://gotoclimatemarch.org/ for more details. Here in Western Mass, the UU Society of Amherst’s Green Sanctuary Committee is organizing car pools to attend the march in Springfield organized by the Springfield Climate Justice Coalition and Climate Action Now. The march will leave from the Federal Courthouse on State St. at 3:00 p.m. and proceed to City Hall, where there will be a rally. Currently the following three members of UUSA are organizing car pools that will leave from the Big Y parking lot in Amherst at approximately 2:00 p.m. that Saturday. E-mail one of the following people if you are interested in car-pooling. We will recruit more cars if the following ones fill up:
