The UUSA Veterans and Families Committee is holding an event on Monday, November 20 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Willie Eaton Social Hall.
Explore with us the costs that “moral injuries” can have on our active duty soldiers, veterans, their families, community and society.
Moral injury occurs when we participate – to any degree – in actions that transgress our deeply held moral beliefs and expectations. It affects combatants and also their families, friends, community, and society.
There will be a brief presentation about “moral injury,” after which we will form a talking circle. This will be an opportunity to share experiences, feelings and thoughts in a safe and confidential space.
Call Gene Herman at 240-472-7288 or Pete Rogers at 413-588-7740 for more information or your willingness to assist.
