Everyone in the congregation is invited to help make our meetinghouse sparkling clean again. Please put April 6 on your calendar now. We will work from 10:00 A.M. to approximately 2:00 P.M. We will dust and wash and vacuum and have lots of fun doing it together.
The Meetinghouse Committee members have been doing lots of little tasks that you may not be aware of. Tom Fricke recently changed many of the special batteries in the emergency lights and the emergency exit signs. And he is taking the old batteries to the landfill. He also disposed of the cellulose-laden Christmas tree (see Green Sanctuary column to understand why!). Ron Grosslein has taken the very compromised wooden table from the social hall to his home to repair it. He has also sanded, touched up, and painted the holes in the old hallway where cellulose was sprayed. Jim Lee has priced out window shades for Classroom A and a new Eagle pulpit podium, which he plans to build once the money is forthcoming.
