Reproductive Justice Action Group

Following the overturning of Roe v. Wade by SCOTUS, several UUSA members joined hundreds of Unitarian Universalists who took up the call to organize for reproductive justice. After participating in a Reproductive Justice Training Series for Congregational Teams, we formed the Reproductive Justice Action Group within the UUSA (RJAG).

This group supports the definition of Reproductive Justice offered by Sister Song on their website https://www.sistersong.net/reproductive-justice: Reproductive Justice is the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities.

We invite members of our congregation to be a part of this effort and get involved with RJAG. Please join us on Zoom to delve more deeply into how we can understand and support reproductive justice. This will be an opportunity to share our individual concerns about the issues, identify local groups focusing on the elements of reproductive justice, and review legislative initiatives.

Please contact RJAG member, Anne Louise White to learn more about RJAG, and to sign up for the Zoom event. We look forward to building community within the UUSA for reproductive justice work.
