On Saturday, October 29, our Society’s help is needed at Not Bread Alone, the soup kitchen at First Congregational Church in Amherst, to create a delicious multi-course lunch. Using whatever I
ingredients are available that day, volunteers make tasty appetizers, soups, main courses and dessert to share with community people. There is no indoor dining.  We work in shifts. Cooks 9 a.m.-12 p.m.; assemblers 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; Distributors 12-1 p.m.; clean-up 12-2 p.m. Not Bread Alone is located in the rear/lower level of the church with access off the Spring St, parking lot.
