Gathering at the Village Well
The village well is where the community, this congregation, gathers to be share, to feel welcome and to be nourished by the living waters.

Rosh Hashanah, which begins this night, marks the beginning of 10 days of serious introspection in the Jewish tradition known as “The Days of Awe.” It is a time to consider achieving our full spiritual potential by reflecting on our regrets and by forgiving ourselves and asking others for forgiveness. It is also a time to realize our imperfections knowing that we are not perfect but need to strive to always do our best.
We are all a part of the stories of local and global suffering, triumphs of the spirit, and challenges of the heart. In all the many ways that we are in relationship with each other we are together as a people. “These are my people” is a mantra of interconnectedness, understanding, and compassion.
